A number of our field inventory teams are currently deployed across Idaho, conducting LiDAR Forest Yield Imputation (EFI) plots—an essential step in transforming remote sensing data into actionable forest intelligence when paired with airborne LiDAR. These plots serve as the ground truth that calibrates and validates our LiDAR-based forest yield models, ensuring that our digital forest representations are as accurate and reliable as possible.

Working alongside our USA partner; Northwest Management Inc., this work is a direct extension of our deep expertise in forest inventory. By combining traditional field methods with cutting-edge remote sensing technologies, we’re not just collecting data—we’re building the future of forest yield inventory. These plots allow imputation of key forest metrics such as volume, biomass, growth and fire risk potential across vast landscapes, without needing to measure every hectare manually. Moving to a census style inventory of the forest resources.

Deploying our teams on the ground in Idaho is a strategic move to work alongside our partner in the region and is a testament to our commitment to innovation: taking what we’ve learned in the field and scaling it with technology to deliver smarter, faster, and more sustainable forest insights.

Stay tuned as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in forest inventory and yield modeling—bringing precision forestry to life, one plot at a time.
