Full Forest Inventory Tree Assessment using Virtual Reality (VR).   Data is collected using LiDAR and then field assessment is done within Virtual Reality.     Another iteration in the development of field assessment using VR using a point cloud collected from above the tree canopy using a LiDAR sensor.    Data is being collected about stem characteristics using the PlotSafe overlapping cruising dictionary RAD05.

This is part of a research project Interpine are completing with FWPA Australia and the University of Tasmania Human Interface Technology Lab and is part of a May 2019 release of the cruising VR software which looks to change the way we think of Forest Inventory.
