The Atlas team have recently released the latest version of their GeoMaster Mobile Android app. Interpine’s Forest Management Cloud Service has recently updated to GeoMaster V1.21.0 and ArcMap 10.2.2 which enables the use of GeoMaster Mobile. GeoMaster Mobile is an offline GIS mapping application enabling interrogation of your own internal mapping GIS data and most GeoMaster stand and event data. The Atlas team have made this available for free to all users through to 30 June 2015 to gain feedback from users and I’m sure you will agree it will empower all your field staff with the information held in GeoMaster without the need for an active cellular data connection or carrying around paper maps and records. Being able to add the GIS layers like aerial photos, hillshade DTM, slope classes and also having latest stand and event information will ensure your staff have all the information they need in the field with them.
Current Functionality
- Offline viewing of any of your GIS layers
- Offline viewing of most GeoMaster key stand and event data.
- Record points, polygons on screen or through the GPS in the phone.
- Record notes, photos and voice notes attached to stands or locations and email these through for further action or updates in GeoMaster.
It is great the Atlas team are actively developing this app now and are looking for feedback from users. Here is are few highlights of the interface.
