Interpine is seeking an experienced Mobile Data Capture Solutions Architect / Forest Technician to join our forestry team.

About the role:

Due to ever expanding workloads we are looking for a full-time Forestry Solutions Architect to join the Interpine Team, based in Rotorua. As the ideal candidate you will be solution driven, self-motivated and committed to providing quality outputs. Using your technical expertise, you will be able to analyse data and interpret requirements to provide innovative solutions.    

Key tasks include:

  • Interpret various forms of forestry data to determine optimal analysis.
  • Development and support for existing field data capture software applications.
  • Develop, integrate and maintain databases.
  • Design and implement electronic data capture solutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:  

  • Degree in Forestry Science or related field. 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in forestry operations and data analysis.   
  • Proficiency with SQL database knowledge and data analysis. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. 

Preferred skills and knowledge:  

  • Forest yield analysis 
  • Keen interest in collecting and analysing data of the natural world 
  • Development of electronic data capture software 
  • Microsoft SQL databases 
  • Microsoft SSRS reports 
  • Microsoft Access VBA projects 
  • Logistics and Planning 
  • Power BI Reporting 
  • Cloud computing solutions

  • The pay range will be $90,000 – $120,000 depending on experience. The working week is 40 hours with the possibility of occasional overtime by mutual agreement.
