We are excited to announce our 2025 drone course dates! In partnership with FenixUAS, Interpine is offering a comprehensive 5-day course designed to get you operational with drones. This course is perfect for anyone looking to harness drone technology in the forestry or natural resources industry.

Course Highlights

Comprehensive Training: Combining theory and practical skills to achieve competency as a Level 1 UAV Operator, with core skills in flight planning, manual and automated flight.
Location: Preplanned courses based in Rotorua.
Certification: Participants will earn their Advanced UAS Remote Pilot Certificate upon successful completion.

What You’ll Learn?

Responsibilities and regulations for flying under Part 101.
Certification for operating within 4km of an aerodrome.
Legal frameworks and system familiarity for UAS operations.
Privacy, system failures, incident reporting, drone maintenance, and flight planning software.

Flexible Options: If the listed dates and location don’t suit your needs, we offer custom courses tailored to your requirements, including on-site training at your location.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is ideal for professionals looking to integrate drones as a tool in their work. No prior flight skills or drone knowledge are required. We guide you through the entire process, offering several days of hands-on flying in various scenarios and locations. This isn’t just a course where you complete a test flight and certification. You’ll start from the ground up, learning how to:

Conduct both manual and automated flights

Complete your certification test flight

By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to use your new skills in the field. Our training focuses on applications in natural resources surveying and forestry-specific tasks.
