Resource Forester / Remote Sensing Analyst – Opportunity
About the role :
Due to ever expanding workloads we are looking for a full-time Resource Forester to join the Interpine Team based in Rotorua.
We’re looking for a person to conduct comprehensive assessments of plantation blocks throughout their lifecycle by interpreting various forms of data to determine optimal timings for forest operations and you’ll also predict forest productivity by leveraging new and historical data, and design and implement forest sampling programmes to ensure accurate and efficient monitoring and management.

Forest Inventory Technician / Mensuration Forester Vacancy

We are Rotorua based with satellite operations in Northland, Hawkes Bay, Nelson and Southland, and we regularly undertake work overseas.
To enable our business to maximise current opportunities, Interpine requires an enthusiastic forest inventory technician / mensuration forester to become part of our established field team, conducting forest inventory assessments, who is prepared to be based at our Southland base. There is opportunity to progress to a senior position depending on performance.
The ideal applicant must:
- Be a NZ citizen, NZ resident or have a valid NZ work permit,
- Be fit,
- Enjoy working outdoors,
- Hold a full driver’s license, and
- Have a positive attitude.
Forestry experience and a reasonable level of computer literacy would be an advantage.
