SCION (New Zealand’s Crown Forest Research Institute) announced the sale of ATLAS Technology, its commercial software brand, to Integral Limited, who are a software development company based here on the SCION Campus in Rotorua. The sale takes effect from 1 January 2014.

GeoMaster is one of our core products within Interpine’s Forest Management Cloud Service and we are looking forward to this new direction of the ATLAS Software.

SCION CEO Warren Parker notes that “The time is right for a new owner to lead the vision and direction of the ATLAS brand”. “We have been looking for the right company that will expand and grow functionality and usability of the ATLAS products, while still being committed to New Zealand forestry companies”

Established in 1991, Integral is a long term provider of software and solutions to the forest industry and the company is excited to have the opportunity to grow GeoMaster and the other ATLAS Technology software packages.

“Landing GeoMaster, recognised as the leading non-proprietary land information and forest GIS application for the Australasian market, is quite a coup for us as we continue on our path of expansion,” says Andrew Taylor, CEO of Integral.

Interpine’s Cloud Services for Forest Management remain un-changed as part of this change over and we feel this is a positive step to the ongoing development and support of the GeoMaster product. Key ATLAS staff involved with GeoMaster are moving to Integral and our existing relationships with those staff will continue. Integral, being based on the Scion Research Campus, is just 50m from our head office in Rotorua.
